Yes, believe your right as 11.5 was what I had to go to. Still, large enough gear I think to be able to go the distance for wear when towing. Probably, big thing, is to do something most don't, and that is to change the gear oil at reasonable intervals. Changed mine after approx. 1000 miles and drove without towing for over 500 miles. Even on first tow, stopped every 10 or 15 miles, let it set with vehicle in neutral, park brake on, and let it cool and temper. That was what Yukon recommended and now have a very smooth and quiet gear. Probably will have my gear oil (rear diff) changed every 20 or 25 k. Depends on the drive/ tow conditions. Still say, oil/ fluids are the cheapest maintenance.

If you get a truck without the popular equipment group you can get one without sirius. You then lose keyless entry and cloth seats among other things though.
I will be getting the 'POWER GROUP' and you get the electric windows, locks and keyless entry. I will not be getting the POPULAR GROUP, dont want the fancy radio or cloth seats, etc. Im getting the xtra heavy vinyl seat option and vinyl floor.

Where do you see a power group? I just looked again and don't see anything.

I had the exact same thing happen to my 2014 mega cab. I have the 4:10's though.
Still no regets. I keep mine loaded down because of the ram boxes so it's heavy and i have a Hemi foot. I do mostly city driving. Overall average so far with just over 10k on the ticket, 11mpg. Work pays for my fuel so i don't care.

Its called power and remote entry group.

I would also suggest 4.10, anti-slip, 6.4 hemi, clearance lamps and Protection Group..

Protection Group
Remote & Power Group
Chrome Appearance Group
Protection Group
4.10 gears
Anti-Slip Diff
220 Altenator
Aux Switches
Rear Sliding Window
220 alternator
Trailer Brakes
5th Wheel - Gooseneck
Electric 4x4 Shift

I got veto'd on the clearance lights by the boss.

Are you going to order a S/B or LB ?
When I order mine I will more than likely go with Long Bed 4x4 and with the cab lights. Now I'm trying to choose between Big Horn or Long Horn.

It will be a Tradesman single cab with 8' bed. Pretty much like this, except I will immediately put black PowerWagon fender flares on soon as it arrives and I may buy the polished aluminum 18' wheels and put BFG-ATs on them. I will put the original 18" OEM tires & chrome/steel wheels up for sale while they still only have a few miles.
