Debating on whether to put my fender flares back on or not. If I dont put them back on, I need to address the paint wear from when I ran them on the front. If I reinstall them, I need to paint the rear flares because I never painted them the first time. The fronts are painted with Duplicolor and are supposed to be factory match, but they never were the same color or finish, plus they are scratched because the paint had no hardeners in it.
Option 1, I called a body shop and they quoted me about $275 to color match all 4 to my paint code. This is a quality shop that has been doing repairs for a local dealership after a tornado damaged several million dollars in inventory, so I know they do good work.
Option 2, on the other hand, for about the same money I can get some spray liner and do all 4 flares and the rockers in charcoal. The stuff I have found sprays on really nice and holds up well for this type of application. I have sprayed it a few times on hunting buggies and such. Just cant make up my mind.
Any thoughts?
