I believe I have to Re-tune the computer to run the 4.56's instead of the factory 3.73's. And I will be able to set the shift points. I gotta call them. I believe I have to pay like $30 or so for the "upgrade" to my programmer. I think they can do it thru an email, you download it and program the vehicle. I want to call to make sure.

I did not have to change the SC for gears as speed is dictated by the tone ring located on ring gear. Therefore because the tone ring stays the same size you will be good. I thought I would have to adjust but tested it with gps and my before and after gear swap speed were exactly the same.

NO tune change is required for a gear change, the speedo is ran off tire size not the gear size.

As for mpg vs rpm, 2000-2300rpm is considered the sweet spot for the best mpg's in these trucks, so cruising at 70 @ 2200 rpm or so isnt bad for mpg.

With your setup and the size of your truck, you should see a gain in mpg around town and highway as long as you are not flooring it the entire time.

TRUCK IS DONE.

Feels totally different. Feel more power with less pressure on the pedal, and feels like it shifts smoother too.

Also put my new tactical grille in this morning.

Well, they feel great. At 70 mph, I get about 2000-2100 rpm. Went to PA last week, and it didn't even downshift climbing a hill. Got more torque, and strongly recommend doing it if you have the spare change to do it.

And with the Superchips Programmer, all I gad to do was change the 3.73 setting to 4.56 setting. Very simple.
