I bought my truck (2010 TRX-4) at the end of may, and for the most part, I love it. One thing I definitely don't love however is the alignment. I've had the truck for 2 months, and have already needed to have it aligned twice, and it's up for a third alignment today.

At first, it pulled to the right. Then after the alignment everything was good for a couple of weeks before it started pulling to the right again. So I got it aligned again. Everything's been for for a few weeks, but over the past 2-3 days I've noticed that it's now pulling left. When I say pulling on the highway, I mean a solid 45 degree angle on the steering wheel to keep it straight.

I don't know what the problem is, but i do know that an alignment every 33 weeks is not normal. I've never really encountered this problem before, and I'm at a loss on what to look at as the cause. Any ideas?

My first thought would be to start looking at other components in the front end. Are all the ball joints good, everything tightened up, control arms? That sort of stuff. How are the tires? How far out of alignment is it when you take it in? Do they show you the results when they put it on the machine?

Another thing to look at is the type of road/highway you are on. The main highway I travel has a rather harsh slope to it, and it depends on which lane I'm in as to which direction it goes. My wife swore that her new car was out of alignment, but it was just the way the road was sloped to the left that made the car pull that direction.

Just some initial thoughts.

nothing against OP, he may or may not have worn equipment, but if I had an alignment business, I wouldn't even try to align a truck with worn out suspension / steering components. It can't be properly done, and you 'll just have to redo your work for free.
The shop I go to, assesses the condition, first, shows you the worn components, asks you if you want to take care of it, or want an estimate to have them repair. Included in the shop alignment, is a road test, because sometimes factory specs and reality conflict.
My son took his Dakota R/T to Les Schwab for an alignment after we replaced everything on the front end. The tech neglected to properly torque the final adjustment's on his alignment, and the cam bolts slipped a couple of days later. He returned and they did it again. He ended up taking it my guy, and the front end is now damaged from moving around and auguring the bolt holes.

I had a 14 Challenger R/T like this. Had three alignments under warranty, and one out of my pocket. Needless to say, it got traded in on my current Ram.
