Why would you need to add limited slip additive oil. 4 oz, ,Mopar part # MS 10111 or 0438060AD to a conventional diff? Seems to me the additive is for limited slip, therefore not needed in a convential diff. Unless conventional is the Mopar code word for limited slip.

Asking as I need to service my front and rear diffs and dealer indicated this would be included in the change.

Not certain it hurts, but it does not appear to be necessary.

Anyone able to shed some light on the need?

Thanks

Call the dealer & ask them why. You don't need it in a conventional diff .

Probably just padding the bottom line and won't add it. I would find a new dealer.
