I replaced my blend doors about 2 weeks ago. After putting everything back together and topping off the coolant (with heat running) with a radiator fill funnel to bleed out all the air, the temp needle will stay slightly below the center when it would stay solid in the center before at operating temp. I've put the radiator fill funnel on there twice now just to make sure I've bled all the air out and as far as I can tell there's no air left in the system. The temp will now hover around 202-204 Fahrenheit. I didn't change the thermostat and the overflow tank has an appropriate level of fluid.

Is this even a problem? There's no issues with trans or oil temp.

Agree, isn't the 203-204 range "normal" for this vehicle? I don't completely understand what problem the original poster thinks they have?

Yes, 100% normal. My 1500 would creep to 215 before the thermostat opened and dropped it back to around 203-204.

I personally didn't like the factory 203 thermostat doesnt leave much room if you get into a overheating situation ive heard ram did this due to epa chasing more mpg and blah blah its a v8 its not much but i went with the 3rd gen temp of 192 and since i rarely see over 200 temp
