Coolant smell - leak located

Ive recently noticed a really breif smell of coolant when i turn the vents off then back on but it is not constant. I pulled glove box and pulled back carpet and notoced a small drip in the hvac seams.

Im pretty positive its heater core but any other guesses?

Yes, that could certainly be a heater core leak.

Also check your heater hoses going into the firewall. A leaking hose could run inside like that.
