Coolant type

I have a 2011 2500 6.7 cummins and the book says use HOAT coolant and the truck has pink in it now with 115k miles and I’m looking to change the fluid and the dealer sold me part #68048953ac the coolant says nothing about HOAT or for diesels any help is very appreciated.

That’s the correct coolant. HOAT is a 5 year coolant. The newer OAT is 10 year.

I just seen Tach_tech commented above .....I've seen many of his post and he is spot on [emoji106]
From what I understand he is a Ram technician .

They didn't start The new 10 yr coolant until 2013 .

Yes why Dave. I have the owners manual it says mopar HOAT no part number. Not sure you understand what I’m asking here.

Someone put oat in there, you likely should flush a couple times. The pink can be asian HOAT, but not likely. More likely it was chrysler oat, it goes from pink to purple and back and forth with tempature.

btw, that chart is aftermarket chart and is wrong, you dont want dex cool in chrysler, but dex is oat so they say thier product is compatible. I just posted it so you can see years the changes happened.
