looking for correct tire pressure for cooper stt pro

Anyone got any suggestions for 285 65 18 cooper stt pro on 1500 4x4? I have 45 psi in them right now but my mpg seems to have taken a hit from the Nitto Trail Grappler I had on there before. Thinking about going up to 55 psi. I thought mpg would be slightly better due to that the Nitto is a little heavier than the Cooper. By the way the coopers are quieter and ride better than the Nitto.

Thanks

Your best bet is go by the tire pressure on the door sticker. If you went with something a lot bigger than stock, then that is a different story. Just remember the bigger the tire, the lower your mileage will be.
My sport has 275-60/20 tires, and my is door sticker is 39 lbs.

Ur door sticker is for p rated tires.. that’s what 40 psi is for. Depends on the load if any. That will decide the air pressure u should run and how the tires will wear.

Also, remember, your tpms sensor will light up if there is a large difference in tire pressure in one tire over the others. If you run them all at say..55psi, your tpms light will not come on.
