Has anyone done the conversion on there own and been reimbursed. Thinking about getting one to eliminate the issue. Thanks Mike.

I have not done the conversion but I have read several posts across the various forums where owners have done the conversion and have been reimbursed. If you read the Y78 or Y87 TSBs there is a process, a form to submit for reimbursement. Do some searching.

Your signature says you have a 2010 hemi. The recall only applies to 2019-20 6.7s

Yes, I have seen "some" reimbursed early on but now I am seeing more and more denials so if you choose to do it realize it might be on your dime at this point.

The recall has been issued so it will get replaced by Ram when parts are available. If it was mine I would just carry on as is, you have a 96% chance it will be just fine.

Thanks for the replies. I need to update my signature. I only use the truck in summer maybe the best bet is to wait it out. Just trying to be proactive. I just don’t want a failure on a vacation.

Yep, it's a crap shoot. The good news is the odds are clearly in your favor as the failure rate is rather low.

I'm in the same boat, have our annual 2000 mi trip coming up in September. Hoping they get parts before then. I'm number 1 in line at my dealership.

My local dealer is being rather rude I bought the truck in AZ not from them. Definitely need to stop in and try to get on the list. Thanks again.

My great Service Manager called to say my Y78 recall CP4.2 replacement parts will be here tomorrow. Taking the truck in tomorrow, he needs to record the engine number and will make an appointment for the change out.

Great to hear. I had a nice talk with local service manager, called me yesterday that parts were available. Being replaced today. Told her that she earned my business with all three of my Rams. Feels great knowing some people still care.
