Just noticed this last week walking around my truck. The bed appears to be shifted over to the passenger side about 1/4 to 1/2 inch.

Is this normal to be off a little from the factory? Or could it be result of the 1” rear suspension lift I have? My track bar is angled up a little toward the frame side… would that shift the bed towards the passenger side?

Never been in a collision accident, just a couple parking lot bumper kisses.

All five of the 4th gen(2009-2017)RAM 1500 SBRC's that I owned were like yours, OP. I'm not sure why, the bed to the cab/rear bumper to the bed alignment was perfect.

My older siblings 2012 RAM 1500 SBRC is also like this.

(SBRC= short bed regular cab)

From my past observations that is normally how they arrive . It bothered me for a while but I let it go .

Reason why is I think it could be the cab is mounted a little off center, and the rest follows.
I looked a a lot of cab to bed alignment and it seems they are all very close to the same .
The dealer I first inquired about correcting the problem while under warranty would not do anything.

I figure I am the only one that notices it on my truck , so it was not worth the battle with a dealer.

My buddy picked up his new 4th gen 1500 this past summer and his bed was also a bit off, right from the factory.
Hardly noticeable, but still a bit out of alignment.

The Dealership said they would have to send it to their body shop to make adjustments, but couldn't guarantee it would be perfect.

He just left it alone as he didn't want anything messed with on a brand new truck.

My front bumper on my new Warlock I got this past February was also a tad off alignment when I got it from the Dealership. They said the same thing: off to their body shop to make adjustments.

No way I wanted my new trucks front end taken all apart for this. It's barely noticeable to most. Stands out to others that are car people, but still not enough to go messing with it. I live with it and pay it zero attention.

it's little things like this that makes a quality product.

it's too bad they send them out of the factory like that and it's even worse when you spend tons of money on a truck that some dealers don't want to bother with it.
