do cst lift spindles provide clearance for wider tires?

I know these spindles stick out about 1.5" compared to stock, but does this allow the possibility for a wider tire to be used?

Or is the main concern of wide tires rubbing the spindle?

I'm trying to find out if I can run wider than a 12.50" tires with the spindles (and without spacers)

thanks guys

I put on 35- 13.50 x 20 ProComp a/t on mine and they cleared with no rubbing or touching of the control arm, on stock 20x9 rims

The cst spindles stick out further? Hmm, I wonder if the spindles you showed me stick out any further than stock.. Hopefully I can get buy without wheel spacers

So if I run a 12.5 tire on my factory 17s, and the spindle pushes out about 1.5 inches, I should only need about a half inch wheel spacer?

you wont need a wheel spacer at all to run 12.50.

I only asked this because I wanted to run 13.50 tires, but didn't want to run wheel spacers. I didn't know if the spindles provided more clearance

Actually, what size are your wheels? And what's the offset or backspacing?

If the 17s have the same offset as the 20s then the widest you can run is 12, I have a feeling that you may need .25" spacers for 12.50. I hope someone else can chime in or maybe I can find the wheel specs.

without being there to see his truck in person i can't say what he is doing or not. with that being said, from what i have seen to run a 13.5" wide tire on stock 20's - wheels spacers would have to be used

I just mounted some 36x13.5 tires on stock 17s and spacers are def needed. I ordered a 1" spacer as well as 1.25" spacer and will let everyone know if the smaller of the two will work.

are those spacers actual spacers or are they adapters with new bolts? I wonder what the thickest spacer you can use, using the stock bolts

yes the flares could use some wider tires , but NOT the control arms, the tires are real freakin close, with my stock rims this is about all you would want with these spindles....(AND NO CUTTING) LOL
the flares are for the 1500 from Bushwacker
