How much can i really cut off the stock springs? Im thinking of doing 2" drop in rear or 1/3 drop by cutting the springs til i can buy the belltech kit.

You can cut as much as your heart desire lol
-2" will keep enough travel that, with Airlift bags, you can still tow/haul. It maintains a touch of rake R>F which many of us like.
At -3" it will level the truck and sit on the bumpstops when towing but still ride fine when empty.

You can always cut more, and for the rear, it's super easy to remove them and take a little more off. The front takes more time to get the springs out but is not difficult per se.

If I didn't buy my b*tch for towing I'd have at least a 1/3 or preferably a 2/4 on it.

If i went more than 2" i would just cut the bumpstops. Cut 1.5 coil off for 2"?

IIRC I cut a little more than a coil and that is what got me to -3" at first.
I would start with 3/4 of a coil; it's SO easy to take more butcha can't put'er back.
I used a 4" angle grinder with cutoff wheel, took an hour to cut and reinstall both rears.

Is ride still close to stock with stock shocks? I am looking to do a 3/4, but wondering what all parts I would need? Maybe 2/4 if 3" is causing too many issues. Planning to get to a shorter 275/55/20 soon on my 2011 RCSB. Any help/info/advise greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys!

Also, I keep hearing about "death wobble" and panhard bars to relocate the rear axle. Is this really necessary? I am trying to get a better look and be more aerodynamic on the cheap lol, but dont want to be unsafe. :)

So 2 1/2 coils?

I don't remember haha. The picture also shows how much I cut each time before bolting back together to check height. Just cut small then measure the drop and you'll know much you need to cut.

Not necessarily fall out but yes they are standing freely until I lower the jack more. Had to make sure they were sitting properly while lowering it slowly. It would be a lot easier with help holding the springs whilst someone lowers the jack.

No it was just to level with the front. Didn't have to adjust anything either. No wobble with just a 2 inch drop to level with the front.
