I’ve been having this issue for about a week now and it keeps coming back. I have a 2011 5.7 and the cylinder 2 keeps missing. I’ve changed the spark plug and ignition coil and idk what to do next. It’ll run fine until I go past 60 then starts shaking

Pull the valve cover and turn the engine over. Check to see if one of the valves opens less than the others....in this case you're gonna want to watch the intake valve of #2.

No it doesn’t make any tapping noise or anything. The check engine light doesn’t even come on until I got about 65 and then it flashes

It's the cam and lifter don't waste the time, money or effort on anything else. I'm sorry......

Just went thru it all on my 2011 1.5 months ago.

I was at 138,500 miles and got a #3 misfire out of the blue. Changed plugs and coil pack then reset codes and it came right back. Less than 1000 miles later the truck was undrivable. That shaking is some good metal on metal action...don't ignore it for long.

You aren't alone....there's a bunch of us unfortunately.

Thanks to all that helped. I’ve kinda decided on trading it in before it’s too late. Ive only had the truck for 10months and it sucks to see it end like this.

The 2018s have some great deals going right now.....but I'm planning to be buried in my 2011 after all I've sunk into it. lol

It was frustrating for a bit but I can't keep a smile off my face with the upgrades after the fact.

Good luck!!!

That's your best move.

Just experienced this exact issue last week. Total loss of power at about 60mph. Was still misfiring after spark plugs and coil replacement. Back in the shop to get cam, lifters, and gasket replaced...not a great start to the Ram experience.

Yet another 2011 HEMI...sorry to hear that. Are the 2016 and up still prone to that, I wonder?

Yeah it's left a pretty sour taste in my mouth for sure. Good news is the extended warranty I got will cover the repairs (4K!), but it'll be at least another week till I get to drive her again. Sigh.

I thought the newer Rams were less prone to this issue, but who knows.
