C'mon guys, we're all thinking it.
Thinking what?? I'm getting a Zone 6" put on this week and use my truck to ump/play ball tournaments out of town sometimes drive hour back each way. Drive 1000km sometimes. Go on monthly trips in the summer towing a tr. So wondering what the toll it takes if any being lifted other than the regular wear and tear??

I’d imagine loading/unloading your truck bed could be a chore depending on your physical conditions/age. I’m 6ft tall and in decent shape, my truck is only lifted 2” and I have a little plastic step I use to quickly jump in/out when I’m loading my truck bed with camping gear or other items. I also use a small ladder when I change my oil my front is only lifted 2.75”. I can only imagine life with 6”

You should be fine though. There are a bunch of people around with 6” lifts. It’ll be interesting to see their input regarding a daily truck life with that much lift. Not many people asking for those “minor” details. The brave ones only ask if their truck will fit the garage :)

6” BDS here. Drive it everywhere. No issues. MPG’s aren’t the best but you gotta pay to play. Wouldn’t change anything! Good luck and have fun!

Lol, you don't buy a Hemi and complain about gas mileage. You definitely can't worry about it with a lift..

Nothing relevant, just the double entendre of "How many of you with a 6" use yours..." to a predominately male group struck me as funny.

I've DD'd a lifted truck a few times. Fuel economy tanks, of course, as dirty air flow and increased rolling resistance takes energy.

I also have a 6in BDS lift and I have been DD it. My brother gave me his 2007 Honda Civic as a beater and I haven't really used it much because I always wanna drive my truck. Unfortunately I don't think I can have another non lifted truck so I hope I will be keeping mine for a long time.

I’m not quite 6” but I’m still average, right? ;)

Ok, back on topic. I daily drive my lifted truck on 35’s, dad’s taxi/Uber/road tripping machine. Not ideal for commuting but I don’t care, love driving the darn thing. I’m doing my part to stimulate the economy.

leveled @ 24k, full on lift @ 39k, hit 122k a few weeks ago, I average probably 15 to 17k a year depending on how much traveling we do, most of that is just day to day though.

I have a 6" Rough Country lift with 37 x 13.5 x 22 wheel set up.
Its my daily driver, (drive around 20 miles round trip daily), my gas mileage is 9.5 miles/gallon, running on 89 fuel.
Still love it!

6" BDS Daily driver (mostly) been on several 1500 mile round trips to Florida. It's a 2017 lifted @20k, now at 50k. Fun to drive, I love watch my 7 year old climb in and jump out.

Mine is a daily. I've bought it new, lifted it at 28,000 miles and now it's at 108,000.

Nice view of the GF taking a pic while I drive.
4.56 gears 37's.
Stock was the 33's and 3.92's
You can see the rpms. Speedo is off by 2mph. I've corrected it in Diablo and AlfaOBD and it's still off. If anyone knows this fix I've put up with it for forever. :D

I need to perform it's yearly maintenance of greases, maybe undercarriage paint and torque.

Never planned it, but yes... it's my daily driver. Why? Because its so much fun to drive !!!

With the Maxtrac Lift and tires (35') I'm at 5" from what it was stock, which works perfect for me. Yes, there are times when I liked it to be a bit higher, but thats just because I love the stance of a lifted 2500.

Had I gone higher I'd run into reality issues. Lifting (3) 45lbs Bulldogs into the back seats would be funny to watch, and theres no way the Mrs's would ever be able to do that alone. Installed a BedStep which definitely is a nice addition. Not so much I'm not able to jump into the bed, but there are times when there just isn't room to do so. Having the Bedstep definely has come into use.

No, I'm not going to get amazing fuel economy.... but then again, I don't care..... and who really buys a "truck" thinking they will? For those the new Tesla / Hummer might be for you.

I've other vehicles to enjoy driving more sporty etc, but I gotta say that theres not a day that goes by I don't think "Damn I love driving this Ram"!!!

Mine is lifted 8". The first owner did it early on, I'm the 3rd one. Rides great, I get 12mpg on a good day 8mpg when I have a trailer behind it. Getting stuff in/out of the bed is cumbersome, especially when moving furniture or appliances, but otherwise it's awesome to be able to see down the road. I'm 5-10 and I don't mind. My wife is 4-10 and she struggles, even with the running boards. She definitely needs a ladder to get in/out of the bed.

6” on 37”s for 145,000 miles so far, daily driver. The only draw back to lifting it is they won’t honor your warranty even when your problem has nothing to do with the lift, they cancel it and buy it back for a whopping $25.....
