I bought my truck certified pre owned. Got a thing in the mail about the warranty. I called and they offered me a lifetime warranty for 2900.00. Same as factory warranty for as long as i own it. Also intrest free for 24 months.

Typically a lifetime warranty is not transferable but the shorter term ones are transferable to 1 new owner.

If you are going to keep the truck for a very long time lifetime warranty is the way to go.

Congratulations. I did the very same thing with he certified pre-owned ram 2500 4x4 cc and the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty. I expect to keep the truck for a very long time. I love the truck and I feel great about the warranty.

I love my lifetime warranty.... it just changes the way I think about the truck meaning mainly I don't have to think about it.

To make it pay off someone must:

Keep the truck for a long time since the lifetimes are generally not transferable.
Not be into mods and whatnot. You will void parts of the warranty or at a minimum have to fight to get stuff done.
Stick to the manual for maintenance. I'm already planning for the fight with my dealer/service guy about flushing brake fluid and all the other crap they try to sell you on. If it's not in the manual there's no reason to spend your hard earned money doing it. It's covered by the warranty.

If you stick to that you will get your money back at some point. Granted, you're loaning Mopar your money interest free for potentially a long time but it will come back to you.

Yup bumper to bumper. I drive alot for my job. I put 3k a month on my truck. (i do outside commercial tire sales) the i plan on keeping it for a long time. The gm for my local dealership is very nice and the only mod i reall wantto do is a s&b intake. Ill ask about it before i do it because s and b claim it doesnt void the warranty.

Waist of money on the intake. The stock air box is a good one. You won't get anything out of that but some more sound.

Yeah it's ridiculous we can't get the same lifetime warranty here in Canada.

I did the same as you, and got the maximum they offer up here.... the 7 year bumper to bumper. Paid close to the same as well.

It's the most money I've ever spent on a vehicle, so there was no way I wasn't getting the warranty. I want to keep this truck a VERY long time! [emoji3]

Not everywhere in Canada as i purchased a 7/85,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty for 2700ish. If I take it to the selling dealer the deduct is 0.00, any other dealer and I have to pay 50.00:favorites13: Just remembered you never pay what the dealer wants right from the vehicle, the rust package or lastly the warranty package.

OP who is it through?
chrysler doesnt send out offers like this so it is a 3rd party company. i hope you read all the fine print. i have heard horror stories where people thought they had good warranties and in reality it wasnt and it was a b*tch to get anything covered.

just an fyi you can get a chrysler backed one for 2400 with a 100 deductible that good at any dealer

Um....they do,chysler group llc isn't a third party .It's 100% thru Chrysler/mopar. I even called the dealership and they said I can get it thru them as well. The deductible is 100.00. So I guess I paid 500 to much.

I got the same lifetime warranty on my brand new 2015 from the dealer. It is by Chrysler Group LLC. I am not sure if this is the official website but it has all the same info as the brochure I received. Mopar Lifetime Extended Warranty - Backed by Chrysler.

I have the lifetime Bumper To Bumper on my 2013. Paid full cash for the truck cert. used and they threw it ontop as part of the deal. Think the actual cost came out to $1300 for the warranty. Make sure you keep copies of all of the mods and parts you put on your truck. Dealership I go to is nice enough that whenever I go in for services, Give them a updated list of whats been done alone with any OEM mopar stuff I add and they tack it onto my warranty. So any Mods using OEM mopar parts is covered as if It came factory just a bonus but every dealership is different.

If you read the fine print of the warranty it basically expires when the value of the vehicle is less than the cost of the repair. At that point there is no more warranty. At least that's how I read it. I finally got the fine print after buying the warranty. It's through Chrysler, so I would expect that after 15 years and the engine blows they may not cover the cost. I hope I read that wrong but ya never know.
