If anyone here is in middle TN i highly recommended getting service done at Stan McNabb in Tullahoma. A few months ago I had them install factory step rails. They put 2 people on the job and had it done in less than half the time they told me it'd take (approx 30 mins). Today I took the truck in for 2 recalls and a free oil change. They told me to expect it to take 2.5-3 hours. Again, they put 2 people on the job and had me out in 1 hour 15 mins. The truck was as clean as when I brought it in and you couldn't even tell they'd done anything to it. For the record I did see them pull the headliner down and work on it so I know they did actually complete the job. Can't recommend them highly enough.

It's great to hear that there are some dealerships that still believe in customer service. Let me make a suggestion, in about a week, take a couple dozen donuts into the service dept and give them to the service writers and the tech's as a way to say thank you for treating me well. Take it from experience----it will pay you dividends in the future.

That's not a bad idea. If I remember when I get back into town in a couple of weeks I may just do that.

It has served me well for a number of years at my local dealership. I do it about once a month, and believe that the results have been much greater than my investment.

I would do that but the turnover rate at my dealership is so high it's ridiculous. I suppose I'll just be happy with the fact that my dealership does good work. Even if they do take all day for an oil change.

I'm glad to hear about good ram dealerships. I have a wonderful dealer, and while I know many dealerships are really just in it for the sale I like to spend my money at the one that will be there long after the paperwork was signed! It really makes a difference over the course of ownership. My truck is just an express and they treat me like I bought a Rolls Royce. I am not just a number. They know me, they remember my name; they even ask me about my family. I have even gotten a few free oil changes for no reason other than them being over the top nice. It's made me into a Ram man...and I've driven Chevys almost my entire life! (I've owned two fords...I'm not going down that road again)

The sales lady that sold me my truck calls periodically and asks how I'm doing and if I'm still happy with the truck. When I enter the dealership she greets me by name and with a hug. The service manager greets me by name and with a handshake. The step rails I bought go for $425 according to Ram but they sold them to me for $380. I'm sure they still made a few bucks but it was a nice discount for me.

It's so nice to hear about a good dealership experience. With so many posts on here about bad bad dealership experiences, its nice to see a dealership that cares about the customer experience. Wish mine would adopt this philosophy...

Definitely. I did that, but I brought 5 pizzas down there for lunch. They were very grateful and I am always taken care of now when I go in for something.

That's really nice to hear. Wish McNabb was a bit closer to me because I'd go there. I have been going to Columbia but it's been hit or miss.
