Some have turned wrenches as in the two service writers at my current dealership. Chrysler and GM use to have a service writer school many years ago. Don't know if they still do.also Service Writers, most likely have no mechanical training, they are salesmen

I shampoo mine on my 2019 fifth gen every two or three months at the local spray off car wash for $1.50 . Keep it looking like new.
