You could also recoup some $$$ and sell those fender flares. 1500 and 2500 owners would love a set of OEM flares and not knock-offs for less than paying retail or fighting over them via EBay.

Thanks for the advice, I just put them on Craigslist for $300 hoping I can get a quick sale.

Going back to your OP, Another big plus you get with the PW and not the Tonner is locking hubs. You'll like those on the beach!

??? Neither truck being discussed here has locking hubs.

With 35’s installed and running boards removed, will put my Amps on tomorrow. Not looking forward to that.

Locking Diff would have been more accurate.
Would those steps fit my 2016?

Will post some more pics tomorrow, hopefully with the painted flares on. I was having issues with the Amp steps and was on phone with their tech support and they told me to ground a particular wire and I was stretched out holding myself up trying to see what the steps would do in the process. WELL, didn’t know they were going to open and close real fast and my thumb was in the wrong place and got the heck mashed out of it.
It was ugly, I drilled the bottom of my nail and it helped some but even after 2 pain pills this thing still hurts so will post up tomorrow.

Hey Vicman,

That’s great to know, we will have to meet in Hickory for a cold one when you are available.

Just a heads up, locking diffs and sand don’t mix if you like turning.

Damp, packed down sand right along the water line can make things bind, if all "Locked Up". But, out in the dry, loose powder it shouldn't be a problem.

Along those lines, when just motoring around, even on the dry deep stuff, it seems to get around better in 4WD with the front unlocked and just relying on the Limited Slip rear to keep things rolling. When fully locked up, it seems to want to break through the smooth top surface and dig holes with the Lockers engaged. I only use them once I have come to a stop, and getting rolling again, even in a straight line is a challenge.

Then again, everyone's experience will be different, based on texture of sand, loading of vehicle, tire choice and what air pressures you are running.

You are a joker, LOL

The OBD plug waS defective and part was warrantied so I paid $55 for next day shipping from California. Thought okay today will go pick up flares from body shop and you could peel layers of paint off with your finger nail so I retaurned them and the head of the body shop said I couldn’t paint the flares that dull finish like factory flares and have the paint hold up.

So I am having them painted with the same gloss black that is at the bottom of the truck. Meanwhile it’s 4:40 here and still waiting for fedex. I live is a rural area so whether it’s Fedex or UPS I am lucky to get delivery by dark.
