Custom tuner, unless you have an old enough revision Diablo Predator (and I mean old) that wasn't updated and still has that option in the software.

Kind of late to be helpful but just in case, not sure what year you're truck is but if you're factory ecm/pcm is unlocked (older, pre 2015 maybe) then the factory unit can be modified and guys like HemiFever or Jay Greene are very versed at the hemi and very quick. Also Any local shop that does engine tuning can modify your ecm.

If your truck is 2015+ then I don't think the factory ecm/pcm can be modified by anyone, and an aftermarket ecm/pcm that is unlocked is needed. Once the unlocked pcm is in place then the same group can modify whatever you would like them to.

These dates are based on the 2500, maybe same as 1500, not really sure, and I would take the info with a grain but it's the best I know.

I always thought routing hot exhaust gasses back into the intake was a terrible idea. It would be great if we could just block off the port on the head and plug the back of the intake and call it a day.

On a 2005, what's needed? Can a performance shop just turn it off and the ECU won't throw a CEL on smog test day?

Block it and a custom tune to turn off the CEL.

That would be great on a 4.7. You have to be a tiny contortionist to get to the EGR.

I blocked mine at the exhaust manifold and then had my tune guy do his thing in the pcm, whether I had do to do it that way or not, I am not sure but I knew it was stopped. Gas mileage went up approx 15%, maybe even a bit more.
