Wondered if anyone has had issues with their i2 programmers lately. My truck is a 14, and I bought the tuner in 15 from Moes with the hemi fever tunes and it worked great for quite awhile. In the last 6 months, something is always screwed up with it. In the fall, I was switching from the 91 octane HF tune to the 89 HF tune for winter, and it all the sudden said my truck wasn't supported by the tuner. Diablo tech was great, and figured it out, but I was running from my truck to laptop for an hour, on the phone, getting it sorted out. In January, changed tune back to stock, for inspection, and just a week ago, oil change. Plugged tuner into my computer the other day for update. First the updater app did an actual update on my computer, then my i2 ran about a 5 minute update, then froze up. Tuner wouldn't go back to the reboot screen, and plugged it into truck and nothing, frozen on home screen. Called Diablo tech, and the only solution was to send it in and have it fixed for $99, plus I pay all the shipping. seems kinda ****** for paying almost $500 for the tuner when I bought the ******* thing. Just wondering when I get it back, if the issues will be fixed, or they just want you to buy the i3.

Everything has a manufacturer warranty which is typically 1 year but definitely varies. With a tuner being almost 4 years old it's not shocking for most gadgets to behave this way. $99 to fix your tuner that saves you from having to buy an i3 isn't a bad deal.

Either way good luck in what you decide.

Got my tuner back from Diablo, my Hemifever tunes got erased when they fixed the issue. I guess they re programmed it because of a software glitch. I was told by the technician on the phone to go in and install the 91 octane canned tune, and the custom tunes would re appear. Didn't happen. So I hope I have the tunes still downloaded on my PC, been working out of town, so haven't had time to try. Pain in the ass for sure.

Send an email to Hemifever. He'll send you your old tune back if you didn't keep a copy of it on your computer.

Anyone tell me what the throttle boost feature is on my i2? What does it do, and what should you set it at if you use it?

The throttle booster is a sensitivity adjustment similar to a pedal commander.

I recently purchased an i3 and plan to alternate tunes due to price variation in octane, just curious how often are you switching tunes back and forth? How many custom tunes are/were stored on the device?

Does your TCM accept trans revisions if it is an 8 speed?

TIA

Do you have a Pedal Commander that you are running in conjunction with your custom tune. The reason I ask is that I think Sean sets that throttle boost function differently if you have a pedal commander. I don't remember what Sean sets it at though. Sorry

Thanks. No, I don't have a Pedal Commander. I keep going back and forth abut getting one, wondering if its really worth the $.

My truck has been sitting in my driveway since July 3rd. Diablo i2 threw a code, once again, trying to go from hemifever 91 0ctane tune, back to stock tune. Truck wont start. $55,000 truck sits in my ******* driveway, because of my tuner. Diablo website down for the holiday weekend until Monday. Great Product. This happened 2 months ago, and the tech told me to hook the truck up to a battery charger to keep the voltage, which I bought and did. Those guys at diablo tell you something different, each one. DONT but a DIABLO tuner, ******* worthless. Unless you like sending your pcm to Florida every 2 months.

So pissed off and disgusted, trading the truck in this week, once the pcm comes back, for a 2018 Power Wagon. Pics to come. And that truck sure as hell will never be Diablo tuned,
