Bottom line my truck does run better than it ever has. The shifts are tighter, the response is better.
I just really felt like I was lead to be leave that there was more. That's why I'm pissed. But in all honesty it has improved my trucks preformance.
It was just a canned tune for my mods.
The diablo canned tune was faster, but his canned tune did tighten the shifting and improved throttle response.
I thought after I sent him my data log that I was going to get some amazing tune for my truck. That didn't happen.

So is it a separate tune from the octane tunes then? And, do you have to run and e-fan with Hemifever tunes?

i never call b/s on your posts been watching your posts since day one so i know your for real

you ever had any transfer cases problems since your 4x4 just curious

Nope, never an issue, and has been rock solid performer from day 1
3400 stall and 8psi of boost / 500WHP without a hiccup.

If/when the e-clutch that engages the front drive shaft with 4-Auto wears out, I'm pretty sure I can handle it with minimal cost or down time.

Not a track, just a old clear side road and the Diablo tree. Never had my truck on a Dyno, don't really care to.
No it is a octane level tune. He sent me a 89 and a 91 tune for the mods on my truck.
No you don't need a electric fan for the tune.
The fan is just a mod that does up your HP by removing drag on your engine from the pully driven fan blade.

Lhemi, just be thankful you got a Factory Freak, like me

Remember waaaaay back on page 6 of this thread:

I had my 10' (with a Diablo 93 canned tune) Strapped to a Dyno at the local CMR after installing shorty headers 2 years ago.
I was going to have him write me a custom tune, but after a couple pulls he said it wouldn't be worth it and there were no real gains to made over the canned 93 tune from what he was seeing on screen... unless I came back with my cats removed.

He made a couple minor spark/fuel tweaks right on my Trinity
and only charged me $125 for 4 pulls instead of doing a full tuning session.

Spruce Grove Custom Dyno Tuning Full Service Performance Shop

I already had my shift points, throttle sensitivity,
speed limiters and rev limiters maxed the F* out on my own within the user settings
after track testing (MANY times over) in addition to my custom e-fan settings

So I guess it's long tubes, no cats and a edge TC 2800 in my near future. Where is my Moe's shopping cart anyway....

Hmm this is interesting. Normally tuners have a canned tune they work on. How do you know he never tweaked his canned tune? And just because your tune was faster dosnt mean its safer, ever heard the saying that motors run the best before they blow? You could of been really lean and not known it. If it feels better than your BD tuner then why do you say you would of stayed with BD canned tunes? Its kind of apple to apples at that point. He did clean up your shifts so it was worth it from what your saying. It just sucks working with some one you have never met, i understand the frustration and that was my worry honestly but keep on him, tell him your concern tell him your disappointed and thought he was going to tweak it more. He does this for a living (I think) he will want your trust if hes a good tuner.

BlackHemi you have a very similar set up as my Dads GTO. Hes got a D1, what size is that procharger, and how much boost?

PS: you guys need to set your page limits to 45 posts per a page, im only on page 7 :p

Because I hadn't sent him a log, there's no way he could do anything to his tune without data from my truck.

My understanding is that Sean has some preset tunes based on the different mods you have. He takes the canned tune you sent him and tweaks that to work with your mods. The data you send after that is to see if his original tune needed any tweaking. I also got the "your trucks running strong" email. When I get a new mod, I will email him and let him know what I have and he'll send me a new tune to work with that mod.

By the way, that squeak I was hearing is gone. Sean believes it was my tire chirping into 2nd, but it sounded like it was coming from the front of the truck. At least it's gone now haha.

That's my understanding ^^^. If he has done his homework, he should know what tune works best with our mods. Once we send him the logs, he is just checking that everything looks good and is running at a high performance, yet safe level. IMHO

On that note. Since my HF tune, I have added the Vararam AirGrabber, 4.10 gears (I will probably need to change my shift points), and will soon do the Edge 2800 TC.
Once the TC is in, I will send him another log and have him tweak it, or at least make sure my tune is still optimal.

Other tuners companies send you a device that is a one-size-fits-all, and they don't give a $hit how well it's working for you. At least with Seans tunes, we have a professional take a look at it and tweak it if necessary. I think that is a great service! :)

I am more happy with the way my truck feels and performs with HF, than without. The 1/4 mile and 0-60 times are not as important to me, as making my truck to be fast, feel great and be fun to drive (smoking a Chevy or a Ford now and then is just and added bonus)!

Congregation... please stand... as that concludes my sermon for the day!
