Since Burla says 30916 is the same stuff, I will take his word over pretty much anybody else, but thanks Sling.

Since this one ships to Canada, even with exchange and shipping it is a bit cheaper than buying it here. The 12 pack on Ebay, that Burla posted, is cheaper yet, by a lot, even with shipping and exchange.

Lubegard 30916 Heavy Duty Engine Protectant, 32 fl. oz.

2021 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. I bought it used in April. I've only done one oil change in it thus far, which was done at a Take 5 Oil place because I was in a hurry.

I have the startup tick. I ordered a bottle of the Biotech to see if it helps with that.

Question: Are yall adding this every oil change, or on an as needed basis?

Every change and I don’thave a tick, and never have had one. I do it for prevention. I add it on top of the full load of oil for a slight overfill.

Soooo just question.....i've had good success with lubeguard correcting my startup tick. I have been using valvoline basic oil 5/20. Is going to synthetic and using lubeguard an overkill? My instinct was to use the second bottle I got using the same oil change shop valvoline then trying synthetic without the lubeguard to see what happens. Can't say i'm a fan of the valvoline. Opinions/experience appreciated.

You can continue to add Lubeguard but I'd say move to a 5w30 oil. Valvoline Advanced 5w30 has worked for some people. I'd also try priming the engine with this procedure before first start in the morning.
