Now that's some magic if you installed the evic from a 16 into an 09,as it's a completely differant wiring harness.
The trucks underwent massive electrical changes in 13,and not much transfers over with out changing the wiring and several modules
Well you got me there. And I had no idea that was so, I did pull the door panels and cluster from that truck but had never installed the cluster yet bc I had never bought that ODB reader to program the new cluster. I wanted the cluster and Door panels bc they have the nice matching ram badge. I payed 180 for the cluster though, I'm seeing them on market place for 300 bucks. So I guess there is no conversion harness I can get to make it work ?

It looks like this topic will require plenty of research and I have no clue if it's possible to adapt a 2013+ EVIC to work in 2009, it could be that you're dreaming an impossible dream.

You might start by asking how much @Wild one knows on the topic and then start reading.
I'm fascinated by the project's technical aspects, but I need to clear a lot of snow before reading more about this topic.

We received about 20" in the past 36 hours. I worked 3 hours yesterday and this morning there's more out there. And the plow hasn't been by in a couple of days, that will add time because the roads are full. I have 2 areas that receive plow droppings.

If it was simply a harness upgrade, as previously mentioned, @Mpgrimm2 may be able to help.

Ya I'm on it ! I sent Grimm a message. I'm in Cambridge Ontario and it's been snowing for almost 3 weeks. My 10hp blower broke yesterday and I just got someone to pick it up this morning.

Thanks for the links, I'll dig in.

I hear ya on the snow fun and broken snowblowers.

My beast died while cutting the path around the back of my house on Saturday afternoon.
The drive control cable snapped and gave me the joy of hauling the powerless weight back to the front and into the garage.

Fortunately, MTD and a local dealer saved me by having the cable available and in stock.
I treated the snowblower to an oil change and a few tweaks when I changed the cable on Saturday evening. I wanted to be ready for the start of the dump on Saturday night/Sunday.

Oh joy ! It' was my drive PTO that stopped engaging. Luckily I got my drive way finished before it broke. I got almost 4 ' walls of snow on each side of my driveway here. I haven't seen snow like this since the 90's

Hey you guys don't take this wrong, but i'm finding it kind of funny, lol. We're colder then hell in Berta, but not much shovelling ,so far my backpack blower has been able to stay on top of our snow, lol
Ont has been making our nightly news with pic's though, and you guys have been getting hammered, but keep it out east :waytogo: :Big Laugh:
As far as i know nobody makes an adapter harness to go from the earlier 2 plug Evic's to the later single plug Evics, and i think even if they did,the Evic wouldn't talk to the trucks modules.
The only guys i know of who've been able to do that swap, swapped in the complete wiring harness/set-up from a newer wrecked truck

It's all good .. This was my first Ram truck and I've been learning and enjoying working on it. Last week the weather broke for a day and I finally put my riv nuts in and bolted on my mopar side steps. I scored those with the brackets on market place for 150.00. Quad cab ones are rare I found.

So I have a 2014 2wd 1500. Anyone using this fluid with LSD additive? Do yall add any more additive or just roll what’s in the bottle?

Most of the time what's in the bottle is good enough but still check it once the fluid has been changed. Make several hard figure 8 turns and listen for any groaning coming from the rear end.

OP, no offense meant, but judging from your questions it seems like this might be out of your wheelhouse.
May be best to pay a professional to do it.

UPDATE - I changed the fluid on Saturday and it couldn't have gone easier. The fill plug and the drain plug both came out with no issues, there was no sign of metal in the fluid though it was a bit dirty and "old" looking. New fluid went in and I added some, but not all, of the MOPAR additive. I probably got 2 quarts drained and then put almost 2.5 in before it started coming back out. Torques the plugs back in and no leaks. I went out for a drive and did a bunch of figure-8s and tight turns. The truck already sounds and feels better in turns, especially when I'm doing tight reverse turns. Thanks to everyone for the advice and encouragement. I've never done this before on any vehicle, but it sure was easy.

Next up, my first oil change on a Ram!

None taken! I'm one of those nerdy high-research, lots of questions people that just wants to make triple sure of things before I do them. You should have heard/seen me when I was doing the 800 hour service on my Honda 250 outboard motor, LOL.

Any "danger" in adding a bottle (4 ounces) of the additive even though the Valvoline oil says it already has additive in it?
I know you already changed your fluid, but I have actually had to add some friction modifier after a fluid change where the diff was a bit chatty. I'd say you dont want to go overboard, but its pretty low risk in adding some additional friction modifier.

Thank you - I figured just in case (pun intended) adding 2 oz would cover me if the "additive added" in the fluid I bought (Royal Purple) wasn't enough.
