I have a 2012 with a basic cluster and looking to upgrade to the evic cluster. I've been researching for about a week came accross multiple forum posts where this is a successful swap. However one thing I can't find is if anyone was able to successfully change the mileage on the cluster using alphaobd. Anyone able to confirm this can be done?

You can change the mileage with Alfa. It is VERY easy to do.

OK thank you. Just wanted to confirm before I order a cluster and can't make the changes without paying someone else to do it. I've made a few adjustments in Alfa and it's worked good so far.

Do you know where to change it? Found some videos that mention insturment panel settings and I could not find an odometer option (I beleive the video was from a 2018). I did find a setting in the ecm. Is that the correct place?

I may be mistaken. But the i think the 2012 cluster is different than the 2013 and up clusters and I believe has limited upgrade potential.

I could be wrong when I had my 11, I looked for a while and couldn't find how to upgrade

Just a random thought

Not mistaken, the Ram trucks underwent a major update for the 2013 model year. The communication buss were all changed so the +13 clusters won't work in the prior years (09-12).

Sp probably no hope on changing mileage myself? I did find a guy someone in the forum used. Maybe I'll go that way if nothing else.

Not sure on the 09-12 trucks but there's an AlfaOBD thread for those model years:

2009 was the first year that Chrysler went to the High Speed Can Bus

all of the Rams & 2 models of Jeep had the High Speed Can Bus

In 2010, i believe that all of the Chrysler vehicles went to High Speed Can Bus

I don't know if the first High Speed Can Bus was CAN B or Can C

I gave up on Electronics years ago

Hello, I'm in the same boat. I have a 2011 and have a basic cluster. I found a used nicer cluster for 50bucks, but unsure if I can do a milage correction on the newer cluster using Alfaobd...
Any luck on a fix ?

Unfortunately not possible with Alphaobd. Not until year 2013 or newer. I did find a guy that you can send cluster too and he charges $175.

When I had my 2012 I found this to be the case as well. There were people on ebay that you could send it to and have it adjusted. Even trying to change the radio was an ordeal. Just my luck that 2013 everything changed and made upgrades so much easier for everything. When I bought my 2019 I made sure it had the best dash/radio so I wouldn't have to go thru this again
