Ding removal?

The wife took my truck to work today because I had to take her car to dealer. It came back with a small ding on passenger side. It’sa very small door ding but it will drive me crazy if I don’t get it fixed. Has anyone ever had luck doing it yourself or taking to a pro? If it can’t be fixed I already told her I’m going to need a new truck or a new wife.

Its worth a try. It will drive me crazy with the black paint.

Harbor Freight Tools has a paintless dent remover it’s a complete kit and only costs about $12 and is reusable for next time. I hope there’s not a next time but ya never know. It has directions in it just read through it all the way before ya start.

Go to a paintless dent removal place. I got my 2013 Ram for 19k with 29,000 miles, one of reasons it was 7k below book was huge dent in door, $150 and 2 hours later dent remover guy had it perfect, only blemish is paint kind of looks swirled in one area that was really bad.

Seriously, look up a good paintless place, for a ding the cost is a no brainier. Guy who did my truck even took out tiny dings for free and my door dent was huge double dent, like 6x6 inch by door handle and below that another 7 x 12 dent. I have to actually look at the paint to see the kind of odd swirl in paint to know dent was even there. My neighbor had a massive dent in bed of his 12 Ram, so big it filled area from cab to wheel well. If was me, would pay insurance deductible and fix it but he decided not to. One day a pdr guy came up to him in parking lot and said if you give me $300 I can get it 100 %, guy made it look much better but wasn't 100%. My neighbor gave him 190.00 because he said guy promised it would be perfect and wasn't. Not sure why neighbor did this since there were paint scratches, but does look really good in comparison to before. Just find a recommended place, shouldn't cost much. I will for sure use paintless places now

I have a '17 black crystal metallic that had about a quarter size door ding and they were able to get it out 100% for $100. It all depends on who you have doing it. I would ask around. I know most of them are travelers to different dealerships and autobody places.

I just checked online, apparently the best PDR guy in the area is less tha 1 mike away from me

I had a very large ding in my door. I took it to a guy that works at the Subaru plant as a dent removal guy. He does it all day long. He go the dent out and it looked like it was never there. I was very impressed. Watch some youtube videos, these guys are amazing at removing some big dings and folded metal.

Wish they could take dents out of the steel bumpers on these trucks, but pdr I used said they can't. I have one on front and rear bumper, very minor but said steel is too hard to do bumpers .

Exactly what the PDR said about mine, but I plan on buying painted bumpers anyways. $100 to get one ding out of the bed.

My bumpers are painted I am super picky about my vehicles, hate any dings or scratches no matter how minor. This is door that was pushed in in 2 big spots, was bad, wish I had before pic. Guy did fantastic job. Was like someone fell against truck, elbow hit upper area by passenger door handle then body hit below, was pretty bad.

Someone hit my spotless Ram in the curved area right behind the back door last year with a car door.It left a 2 inch crease and drove me nuts. I had a pdr guy come to the house, perfect, you cannot find the spot at all, money well spent.

Just got back from PDR. LIKE IT WAS NEVER THERE. $75 well spent.
