Yes, a custom tune does make a huge difference.

I had the same experience you had. The canned tune was OK but didn't do much for me or the truck.

My 6.4L powered 2014 became a totally different truck after installing Hemifever's custom tune.

MADDOG what tuner are you using on that 6.4??

Here's the video of my 2014 Ram Express 93 HP tuners tune. It was already on the truck when I bought it. 4.10's, CAI, Clutch Fan Delete, 180 degree thermostat.

Yeah have you seen the price of 93 lately?
No way in hell would i run that in a daily driver.
