Discount tire trade in

Just wondering if anyone has ever returned/traded in their tires before? I bought new tires a few months back when I leveled my truck. Ive decided to lift it now and called to see what kind of deal I could get on larger tires. They told me to bring my truck in and theyd check the tires out and see what they could give me for them. Just wondering what to expect.

Not sure on better tires, but for the stock goodyears they don't offer much. They have way too many sets, at least in my area. Offered me $50 per tire and they have 5000 on them. If was hoping for maybe 3-400 for the set.

If they are stock good years don't get to excited. They are like $120 a tire new and it's probably the most swapped put tire.

I would say around half depending on the miles... That's what I would hope for. That's a good tire and they shouldn't have any issue unloading them so 5-600 for the set maybe.


Edit: factory size tire in the BFG's aren't as expensive as I thought I would still stick with half.

I traded my in for 180 of 4 my got about 9/32 left on tread , I was hoping I get more but the guy said that the best his can do with that much tread left on them.

IMHO you'd do better trying to sell them on Craig's list or in the paper. Discount has usually tried to rob me when I tried to trade in tires, no matter how good or bad the trade in's were.

Stopped by the tire shop today, they offered me 150 a tire and they'd transfer my warranty to the new tires so about 775 towards my new rubber. Not horrible but hoping I can get a little more for them online.
