Do I need an update

ive got a 2011 Laramie with the uconnect touch screen. Not sure which model or what software is currently on it. But I’m having issues when I try to play music from my phone through the truck. The radio and speakers work fine but when I try to use an aux cord the treble only plays out of the drivers dash speaker and when I play through bluetooth I get a crackling like interference of something. Has anyone dealt with these issues?

I have a 2011 laramie and both those things work fine. I did update it a couple years ago, but they worked fine before as well. If you do update you gain speed limits on your nav. I do find my bluetooth cuts out sometimes though. Try a different phone before you get too deep into troubleshooting. Easy to pair someone else's phone and see how it works.

My nav has the speed limits already. But that’s a good idea. I do have an older phone. Thanks for the idea!

What update are you using for it? I think my Nav already has speed limits on it, but I've only used it once.

Are you sure you have a good Aux cable? I've had issues with one before.

The thought had crossed my mind about the six cord but it still doesn’t explain the ****** quality when I’m streaming Bluetooth. And as for the software I have no idea which update I’m running. How would I check that?
