My first Ram new (2008) I paid 1100$ for the extended warranty and never needed it. My second Ram (2011) I paid 2000$ for the extended and the truck was written off before it even got halfway through the warranty and insurance doesn't replace add-ons like that. Third and fourth rams I did not pay for the warranty and am glad I didn't. Both of those trucks had basically 0 issues the EXTENDED warranty would have covered within the period it covers. Both of those trucks also had multiple electrical\gremlin style failures a few thousand out of what would have been the extended warranty period so I would have been out the cost of the warranty and still had issues to fix on my own, I'm glad I saved the money. Anecdotally a friend of mine bought a 2025 warlock a few weeks ago and told me the dealer wanted nearly 4k (Canadian $) for the extended warranty and I think that is absolute insanity and would never pay that much for an extended. Just my 0.02 though.
