i got this off of eBay for about $15. It’s actually heavy aluminum and has a flawless finish.
I am really considering plasti-dipping the grille black and then adding this.

Thoughts?!

I wouldn't go with the SRT badge. But if you're only taking about plasti-dipping the chrome inserts of the grill, then I'm all for that.

IMG_20150905_093907_123.jpg I think plasti dipping the inserts would look great, I did it and it holds up great.
However, don't be a poser with your truck, but there's a pleathera of HIMI badges to choose from. That's also what I did.

Oh yes. A badging debate.

You're going to get two schools of thought here. Those who are righteous and judgmental and see upbadging as some sort of assault on decency, and you'll be called a poser, fake, phony and lots of other names. And then there are those who say that it's your truck, you put on it whatever the hell you want. This is 'Merica. Badge on.

Let me offer a third way. Badges mean nothing. They don't add horsepower or reduce drag. Even the ones that came on the car are meaningless. They're nothing more than advertisement for the manufacturer to let everybody know what the make/model/options are, in an attempt to grab prospective consumers.

There's no reason to advertise to the world that you have a HEMI, or to display the displacement of your enigine block. Not even a reason to display the name of the manufacturer. RAM doesn't pay you royalties for advertising their product.

I say strip them all of. Debadge. Go smooth. No RAM, no HEMI, no 5.7 no nothing.

Your truck.. do what you like. When did everyone start asking permission for what YOU like. I don't see it as pretending. All the stickers in the world won't make it what it isnt.. but it may make YOU smile. FTW. EVERYONE has their style, people hang metallized nut sacks, or sport team stickers, or, Dale Earnhardts number... usually to much less blowback. I also like kit cars. I would LOVE to own a nice one and be at the gas station and have some numb nuts approach me about the wannabe nature of my ride... " thank you for pointing that out... Yes, I know it is not a real Lamborghini *******. I built and paid for it. I like the look and styling, plus I CANT afford a Countach and if I could I'm not sure I'd drive it like I'm about to drive this... so... thanks again Captain Obvious... and have fun storming the castle!"

I'm planning to add some version of the newer style lights... not because I somehow think my truck will become a 2019,, or that I might fool someone... who apparently would miss all the other styling cues. Nope, more basic than that. I LOVE the styling and they didn't come with my truck and I can afford to add them and last but most important... don't give a rat's ass about anyone's thoughts or opinions. Unless they want to cover my note... then due consideration is warranted. Lol

Heres the emblem I chose. I thought about an SRT or R/T badge, but didnt want to be a poser. This badge is enough to still get noticed, but isnt lying about the trim level of the truck...
Thanks heefageLA, I've been looking for a badge for my tail. Love it, I've been replacing all my badges myself, but didn't want to just repeat the same thing on the back.

I took my truck in for a recall and the service manager was questioning the **** out of me about my truck. With the Hellcat wheels, 2'' lower suspension, 5'' exhaust tips and that badge he thought that this was a model he hasnt seen or heard about yet.

Should have kept him going, "yeah, they only made x-number of them and they're rarer than the Demon!" lol

Sorry for the thread drift, but since we're on the topic. How do y'all think this would look made for the sides of my six pack scoop going on my hood, sorta a continuation of the "Air Grabber" theme from the Vararam I have on it now already? Made one for the inside a while back as shown, but removed the "Warning" decal I made for the snorkel already.
