LOL The modern hemi doesn't really have hemispherical combustion chambers.
It was quite the debate when they first came out :)

Compare a old late 60-early 70 hemi combustion chamber to the new generation.

The modern hemi actually resembles a Ford Boss 429 more than the Mopar 426. So naturally calling it a hemi was almost blasphemy to the old Hemi guys lol

There he is, there's always one.
Same valve/port/dual rocker shaft arrangement. It's no less blasphemous than calling a 426H a hemi since even those chambers weren't perfectly hemispherical (with the same valve/port/dual rocker shaft arrangement). That line of thinking you'd have to go back to the 50's to find a TRUE HEMISPHERICAL CHAMBER, that, oddly enough, has the same valve/port/dual rocker shaft arrangement lol. That particular family of engines was out a few years before anyone even started calling it a hemi....

I guess you didn't get the 429 Boss part. Check out that combustion chamber and a 426 hemi combustion chamber and tell me which looks more like a 5.7 combustion chamber.

Boss 429 chamber is almost identical to the 5.7 chamber.

That is why it was argued about - back in the day. Me personally, I didn't care :)

Just figured I would stir the pot a bit. LOL
