Hey fellas, Pokey here.

Think my vehicle search is over. I've driven quite a few cars and trucks and haven't felt as excited about anything as I have this 2009 Dodge Ram! Thought I'd register and see what the pro's say.
Could any of you in the know comment/critique the deal I'm about embark on.
Found this truck ad on craiglist:
2009 DODGE RAM BIG HORN EDITION 5.7L HEMI NEW TIRES 80,000 MILES EXCELLENT CONDITION $14500 OBO OR WILL POSSIBLY TRADE FOR A CORVETTE C5 ROADSTER.
Met the guy and drove the truck Friday at lunch. Loved it. Right in my price range (can't afford much more). However two things stuck out.
With those things being noted, the truck still checks in as a tremendous value when compared to the internet's recommended appraisals.
KBB: Good condition private party - $15,426
NADA: Average condition trade in value - $15,325
Edmunds: Trade in value - $16,965
Had my buddy run the carfax and it looks great. The current owner bought the truck new (he's a salesman) and has had the truck serviced routinely at the same dealership he bought it from.
Nice guy, retiring, wants to buy a c5 vette convertible as his retirement gift to himself.
What would you offer for the truck? Anything concern you about the purchase? I really love that truck.

- In the above ad, he wrote that the truck had 80,000 miles. When I sat in it Friday, it had 88,000 miles.
- The original ad said $14,500 obo. Friday he said his number is $15,000.
