Well things never go to plan. This weekend I have been doing heavy maintance on my truck including replacing the rack and pinion it was sloppy and had a leak. So stupid me goes and gets a quart of power steering fluid (that meets chrysler spec) and uses that to top it off. the pump went to squealing so I add more thinking it's low and getting air in it and come to realise it's getting worse and worse. I turn the wheel side to side, not full lock and it starts chattering and the steering wheel gets to bouncing. I shut the truck off scratch my head and start doing some digging and come to find out I need atf4 for the power steering, front wheels are off the ground hopefully I didn't trash my pump but i have the lines unhooked so it's drain as much as possible. I will get atf4 tomorrow and try to flush and refill got my fingers crossed, learn off my mistake always check witch fluid your suppose to use regardless of what system it's in.

Yeah, I got three different vehicles with three different ATF fluid specs. I have to be careful also when I am grabbing fluid from the stash.
