I have bought 8 vehicles from them in 10 years! My paint started peeling off my front bumper on my bought brand new 2022 Warlock at about 1 year of owning it. Never had time to bring it in working so much! I retired in December. I bring it in to fix the heated steering wheel that also never worked properly now that’s out of warranty now had to pay for a new steering wheel and clock spring. I just get a call from dealership saying the bumper is not covered because it’s not corrosion. I’m like no kidding! It was a bad prep job before it was painted at factory! The customer service is not there anymore!
Chrysler corp has had some paint issues over the years. Warranty is expired so you’re on your own. Options are, look at salvage yards for replacement, upgrade the bumper, scuff it up and diy linex or similar product. I would be pissed like you are, but I’d bite the bullet and let a body shop pant it. Good luck.

I dropped the truck off last Monday at 8am for the appointment. They called Wednesday and told me my steering wheel and clock spring were defective. I would need a new one. After it was in for same issue in October. I then was told it was a loose connection and they fixed it. Now, at this point they submitted pictures of my bumper also on Monday but didn’t hear back from corporate if it was gonna be covered or not. The first time I went to use it after they said it was fixed it did the same thing turn on for 2 seconds then turn off and wouldn’t turn back on. So I then called dealership they said to make another appointment. Now fast forward to Last Friday I get a call from dealership saying he put in a good faith fix and that they will cover everything but I will have to pay $545 for the repair of steering wheel and clock spring. Also he said That he heard back from corporate and they won’t cover the bumper because it’s not corrosion. The technician told me that this is a garbage answer and clearly it was a bad prep job before it was painted. He advised me to call corporate on both issues to see if they would cover it. This is why I couldn’t bring my truck in while working they had it for a week at this point and probably another week easily if they did cover the bumper. I’m retired now there was no way I could’ve lost my truck for over 2 weeks while I was working!! If you look at my first post on this titled “Heated steering wheel issue!”my truck was only a month old at the time it first started giving me an issue. Sorry this is typed so poorly but it was done on my phone. My eyes are old!

That’s a GREAT Looking front bumper! What brand or source for that?

That's the Ironman Raid bumper.

It's always out of stock. When it does come in stock, it only stays that way for a week or two.

The rear version looks awesome as well!

My post wasn’t a “rant’…. but Yours might be.

Sorry if you don’t like being quoted (do you consider being quoted an insult or attack for some reason?) I quoted you for “context” only.
Yeah, you posted a rant. Life is short…own it and move on. ;)

Those bumpers look great. Now I kind of wish I still had my 2017 Rebel.

I kinda wish mine would start peeling, or catch a Javelina or something. I've been looking for a justification for years to order one of these bumpers:

Yeah those are nice, what's the brand and model on that bumper?

Edit - Ha nevermind, I see a few people have asked already. Ironman Raid, I'll have to add that to my list of stuff to look out for.

To the OP:
I had peeling/flaking paint in the drivers door jamb, truck was still inside the warranty. The dealer originally refused to take care of it under warranty as it wasn't a corrosion issue, it was poor prep work where they painted over the glue bead where the door skins are joined. I had multiple conversations with Ram Cares and eventually it was taken care of at no cost to me.

Leaking rear window, dealer wanted to do the remove/re-seal and reinstall the OG glass. Again, a few conversations with Ram Cares and I had the entire rear window assembly replaced at no cost to me, as it should be.

It sucks to be "that guy" but I'm not getting walked on, calm conversations and taking it up the chain until you get results that make sense.....when you're within your rights. You have to play by the rules and take care of things before the warranty expires.

I had rust on the rear bumper and a spot of corrosion on the hood. It was fixed under warranty. Both spots came back which then they said it was out of warranty. I argued with them that the first fix was done by a ram dealership, so that should have extended the warranty for those spots. After some back and forth and help from another dealership, they agreed to pay for half of the cost. Better than nothing.

i read that Lexus is considering building a pickup truck if there would be enough consumer interest.
But, how would they know if they don't ask?
All they have to do is reproduce pre-22 Tundras and they would sell out before the trucks hit the Dealer lots.

Their 5th gen bumper fits the body lines even better than the 4th gen.

They claim they do not make a bumper (or anything else) for a 2024 Ram 2500 (which I thought would be a 4th gen…but even if a 5th gen… they don’t admit to making anything to fit.) ??

I've walked away from Ram for better reasons.

2012 lifters gone at 50k miles despite religious oil changes. Replaced them. Then developed piston slap. Replaced long block. Then the transmission was going despite 30k mile oil and filter replacement.

Got a 2017 lifters gone at 70k miles, religious oil changes.

Wife promised me that those trucks last forever because her dad drove them. Found out he never kept his past 40k miles...well...

I'm not here to start fights so I won't post what I bought.

But I can tell you that we still talk about how nice looking and how great the cab and interior features were of my 2017.

But I don't buy a truck based on looks and interior features ( Ram is probably the best in this area). I want to buy capability and long life(this doesn't seem possible any more really). I wish they made brand new stripped down f250s with the 7.3 at a working man's price point.
Well, i hope you did not buy a New Tundra.

I purchased a new 2025 Tundra and returned it the next day.

Tough choice between a Silverado and RAM but i went with a low mile 2022 RAM 1500 non-etorque Hemi.

Time will tell as it will be compared to my 2013, 2016 and 2018 Tundras

So far all is good and the Hemi and Trans are smooth as butter.

AGREE

Bumpers are the least concerns on these expensive trucks.

I love the Silverado rear bumper so much that I am looking into how I can fit it on my 2022 RAM 1500

Have fun with ford

Have fun with ford and gm they are 10x worse. No new vehicle is good anymore its all down the tubes 2019+ In the grand scheme of things you are listing very minor issues you just waited to long.
And Toyota. My son paid 70 grand for a new 2023 Tundra. Has been nothing but problems. The whole info screen had to be replaced, electrical problems, and recalled to have a new engine put in.

Want paint issues, look at any older GM car or truck, it just peels off , so is that a paint issue?
I guess that is one thing Ford could do right, paint.
I use to have a 1960's IHC 1/2ton and the other guy built a front bumper out of light gauge railway track.
I kind of miss that bumper these days with all the idiots driving that should not be allowed on a scooter.
I touched mine on a post and need to touch the paint up when it warms up a bit more.

Yes, Toyota shafted themselves when they outsourced their engines.
