I have bought 8 vehicles from them in 10 years! My paint started peeling off my front bumper on my bought brand new 2022 Warlock at about 1 year of owning it. Never had time to bring it in working so much! I retired in December. I bring it in to fix the heated steering wheel that also never worked properly now that’s out of warranty now had to pay for a new steering wheel and clock spring. I just get a call from dealership saying the bumper is not covered because it’s not corrosion. I’m like no kidding! It was a bad prep job before it was painted at factory! The customer service is not there anymore!

Unfortunately even if you have legitimate concerns, people on forums get weirdly defensive of cars they did not design or build and which they have no financial or personal stake in. Be prepared for a lot of people scrutinizing every aspect of your life and blaming whatever luck you've had on how long you go between shaving or what you ate for dinner on the 4th of july.

It's weird, but it's what happens every single time.

since you've bought 8 vehicles from the same dealer, why not have a (calm) conversation with the general manager? If they valued your business, he'll find a way to work with you.

If not, back into a pole to put a dent on it and claim it as an unknown parking lot hit.

Or, trade it in...

On a better note your truck is in the post covid19, where quality took a back seat with all of the parts shortages people out of work etc., the economy tanking inflation rising, you have a 3year old truck, I would just fix it and carry on, the newer ones from the big three aren't any better.

At least you have a non Etorque 5.7 hemi, and the warlock is a nice ride.

Have fun with ford and gm they are 10x worse. No new vehicle is good anymore its all down the tubes 2019+ In the grand scheme of things you are listing very minor issues you just waited to long.

I just waited to long for the heated steering wheel not for the bumper warranty. I have 39,000 on odometer. But they’re not covering it because they said it’s not corrosion. Basically they’re saying. To bad we did a crap paint job!

I have owned pretty much all makes. Best customer service is by far Lexus. They are in a completely other league. Worst would be a tie between Ford and Volkswagen. Chev and Ram are generally not bad, and better than many, but with the financial problems Stellantis has right now, we are hearing about a lot more fighting to get the coverage you are entitled to. Hopefully they get their poop in a group and go back to their old service levels. I would not just give up on getting your bumper fixed under the warranty.

i read that Lexus is considering building a pickup truck if there would be enough consumer interest.
But, how would they know if they don't ask?

The steering wheel is on you, and it sound’s like you’ve accepted that. I can sympathize with you about the paint but I’ve had to deal with a few cars in the past with much more significant paint issues than just the bumper. Peeling clear coat on one and peeling paint on a couple others. And these affected the whole car, not just the bumper. Sure, the manufacturer eventually issued a warranty extension for those cars but most people were outside even the extension by the time they were issued.

My advice would be to take care of the bumper yourself and enjoy the truck. Life is too short to get so worked up about something so insignificant (IMHO). You’re only hurting yourself by stressing about it this much.

I'm willing to bet that none of the other manufacturers are any better.
