Hi thank you! It is @RamCares that will not help! I have not had the truck for almost a month now - paid my first month payment - no time frame when it will get fixed- I just want my money back for the defective truck or at least have a better response - even @ramcare hasn't helped with figuring out when the dealership can get the part- they just can't help with any of this. Denied my request for my money back (I haven't driven the truck except to the two places mentioned dealership and fort myers! This is just not okay and not good business. While I understand maybe this is some on the dealership it is @RamCares that is not willing to help at all get my truck back to me! So how long should I wait for my truck to get fixed 2 months and meanwhile make 2 monthly payments on it?
I have heard from a few others that have had this happen with the RAM 1500 and dash going out completely. If a brand new truck that had 11 miles on it and it goes out- just trying to prevent anyone else from going through what I am with no truck and paying for it! I just can't believe the lack of customer support that I am getting! No one is helping at all! - Thank you for your post though and your reply!
Be carefull running to a different truck. GM has massive engine problems as does Toyota, and who wants a transmission challenged f150 with a turbo v6. In other words, it may be better to stick with the devil you know...

I had a Jeep Renegade that was down for months waiting on a 9 speed trans and a transfer case. Jeep Cares reimbursed the payments and provided a loaner for me. If you work with them, they will work with you. When It was over, they gave me a 8 yr max care warranty. My main gripe with the 25 Ram 1500 is if you want a Limited, you HAVE to get a Ram Box. If you price a Laramie with air suspension and Level 2 package, it is more than a Limited.

UPDATE:
Ended up buying a used 21 Ecodiesel Limited with 34k on it. Told Ram corporate what they could do with the RamBox.

You must have purchased your Ram thru G****e in Punta Gorda If you ask around the area, no one with any knowledge of them will purchase from their dealerships. They are known not to give any decent services, they just want to sell you and kiss you goodbye. Check out Douglas Ram in Venice - they are a decent dealership with a good rep.

If it were me, I'd be the squeaky wheel. I'd start by emailing the general manager:
and seek a loaner until the repair is complete.

You may want to include the owner of Gettel Automotive Group:
Here's his name: James Gettel and contact info:

But, if unsatisfactory response, I would write a formal letter to the CEO. Of course, his staff will intercept it, but it may get enough attention that orders will be delegated down. Keep it professional.

I boycotted GM when their crappy cars in the '80s received the same lack of support. I still won't touch a GM.

I want everyone to know I bought a brand new 2025 1500 Laramie crew cab- Bought brand new from Punta Gorda dealership- I barely had the truck for a week- drove it to fort myers to get the spray for the bed liner, then back to punta gorda for window tinting and the whole dash was black (not turning on) this was at the dealership when I went to pick up my truck- since April many weeks later - still do not have the truck fixed anf they do not know when they will get the part in. Contacted dodge ram they will not help! I asked for a full refund seeing that I have not driven it besides the two places and they will not help at all! Please save yourself the trouble - Don't buy a RAM!!!!!
I may have missed in in your posts, but did they at least provide a loaner for you?

And this may or may not help you, but in my experience the only thing dealerships hate more than fixing your vehicle is bad reviews. Blast them on Facebook and Google reviews. See if that gets things moving. I've done it in the past, and I received an almost immediate response.

Again..... before everyone hops on the bandwagon... WHY is it taking so long? I can't see where the OP has shown us that the fault lies with the dealership. We're only hearing bits and pieces. I'd rather have all the information before I form an opinion on who is wrong. It could very well be a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, etc.. issue. Or... it could be a dealer issue. Or... a combination of both.

From what I've read from the OP so far, it does appear that they are probably not approaching the dealership properly to begin with. I certainly wouldn't escalate it.

Sometimes the rest of the story tells the whole story.

I use to be that person that fielded complaints and far too often the customer was misrepresenting the situation.

That being said a hard failure is a different story. It would be nice to know the part number or at least the part that was ordered so that we can determine if it's on national backorder.

I bought a 2025 1500 Tungsten. Love that truck. Love the RAMBOX. BUT...

Ordered it in November 2024. Picked it up on 12/31/24. Drove it home, to dinner that night. The next day, Jan 1st, drove it to breakfast and to HEB. Pulling out of HEB the dash lit up with a lot of warnings. Went into limp mode, not going above 10 mph. Had just received a text from the dealership saying congrats on the purchase and if I need anything, text back. So I sent a text back describing the problem, and in 10 minutes I get a phone call (on New Years day, mind you) saying they will send a tow truck the next morning. They had it for a week before they even looked at it. But they did give me a rental. They drove it and could never get it to fail. So I picked it up and came home. It is now ten days old.

Went to pick up my grandson at school and it had the same issue. Made it home and they sent the same tow truck the next morning (1/11). Gave me a rental again. Over the next few weeks they drove it several times, putting over 200 miles on it and never got it to fail. They were working with engineers from the factory they said. They did do a firmware flash to a newer version. I picked it up on 2/4 and have not had that issue since. Over 4000 miles on it now.

The only other problem I have had was after I had picked it up the second time, the park sense system would say to clean off the sensors. But they were clean. It would randomly do that for a while. But it has been a couple of months since I have had that issue.

So why am I saying all of this? Not everyone posts about their problems. Sometimes it takes patience to get things done. Like others have stated, for me to have sympathy for you I would like to know what you mean by RAMCARES would not help. Did they give you a rental or loaner? What is the part? Why can't they order it? Yes it is a bummer that you have this issue.

BTW, their assembly is not what it used to be? The self parking was not installed and RAMCARES said sorry but they are not putting it in yet. No offer for consideration by them eventhough it is listed as standard equipment. My Tungsten door trim is incorrect on the driver's door, but correct on the passenger door. See photo. Just noticed it last week. But I will not recommend folks to not buy RAM after all I have been through.

I can truly understand your frustration. Unfortunately as others have posted there seems to be an issue with quality control across the board with car manufacturers. It seems that now when you go to buy a new car you are forced to pick one that has the least amount of reported reliability issues. I picked Ram because of my previous experiences with their vehicles, but unfortunately after buying a new 2025 Bighorn there has been problems with the truck not starting with the brake pedal going all the way to the floor, the truck not starting, and a display message of “Service Brake System”. I even took photos of the screen and showed them to the service manager. After having the truck for a week I was told they could not “replicate” the problem and there were no codes present. I was given the truck back and within a week same problem, fortunately if you try it a second time the truck will start. Not to be a doomsayer but it just seems that product quality control, honesty and integrity when dealing with corporations has become nearly non existent.

Dealerships hate to be called out in public. Perhaps there is a local group, organization, news paper/station that would take your story on. Some consumer attorneys may even make a call on your behalf pro-bono just to ruffle some feathers. File a complaint with the better business bureau, call your local or state consumer protection agency or attorney general. Or, if you have the time a large sign of protest in your hand marching back and forth during the busy hours, on that I would tips the local news of your actions. Slow news day may get you some attention. I have to assume that you only have about 72 hours to back out of a vehicle loan once you apply but you might want to check that, could be a longer window.

So for the dealer to open a warranty claim and have a manufacturer pay for a repair, they have to prove that the repair is needed. Unfortunately with all the electronic doodads that society wants now, sometimes that means a gremlin that decides when it wants to rear it's ugly head. If they can't replicate it, the manufacturer will not authorize the repair. It stinks, but it has to be done. They're not going to authorize nor pay to throw parts at it without pinpointing exactly what is wrong. To me, seems like common sense.

What I used to suggest was the second the truck started the symptoms again... do not shut it off. If at all possible, drive directly to the shop (either mine, or another if not close to me) so that we could SEE it happen and try to diagnose it then. A pain... absolutely. Necessary? Yep, if you want the mfg to pay for it. That isn't the dealer's rule.

I know how you feel. I have a 2018 3500 dully I haven't been able to drive more than a few miles in the last two years. It has 37K miles on it. Can't pull the RV because the ABS Brake and Traction issues. No parts to fix it. Yes it's been recalled but no parts!!! I have been robbed of the use of my truck. I won't be buying a Dodge ever again.

^^^ i agree, yep more to the story... i would say,OP seems a little hot in his posting(and i dont blame him for being pissed either).i bet he ruffled a bunch feathers there about his truck.
This dealership iam very familiar with....this place is pretty big I get that, there's alot of work goin on there(there's several other brands in mutiple buildings all with their own set of garages for whatever brand toyota, chevy etc.under this name).ram side has around 20 bays(guessing),never actually counted when I went inside for a look at my truck...They go through service writters quite frequently there to...
I will say this...the people that put the plastic on the seats, paper on the floor have always been the nicest people.writters are nice until you leave..come back their attitude towards is definitely differant.
This is the same place that had me scheduled out bout 3-4 weeks before I could even get In to diagnose of what was eventually being a faulty TIPM in my case... still it took awhile to get in.
They've done a thing or 2 without my permission when truck was in for whatever service also and then just say sorry it was written not to do other work. The parts dept people are not helpful at all on trying to help a home wrench do a job.The body/paint shop for all makes is just awsome on their side of things.scheduling sucks there also.
I guess that's how bigger places do business rightt???.....pretty crappy if you ask me.

While there is never a good reason for bad customer service, gobal conglomerates, DEI and a major push for electric vehicles has put the OEM's behind the curve when it comes to quality. I do not believe it is possible to ramp up for electric vehicles while simultaneously sustaining the ICE assembly lines.
We can see it at every manufacturer today. Remember there was a push that by 2030-2035 there would only be new electric vehicles, new ICE vehicles would be banned.

Hmmmm. Worked fine until window tint. Did you by chance have the front windshield tinted?? If so, there’s a good chance that the water mixture used to assist in applying the tint ran down the window, down the firewall and damaged the BCM.

Sorry to hear you are having these problems. Hopefully I am not jinxing anything, but drove home a 2025 1500 Laramie last October from Mark Dodge 1200 miles away. It was ordered in late August, so built mostly in Sept 2024. Fast forward to now, other than a small body issue I found when on the way home, I've had no big issues with it. The out of state dealer worked with my local dealers body shop to correct perfectly. Current milage 9285. I will say, at times, maybe because of the auto updates, I had to go back in and reset a few of my vechicle preferences in settings. But not had anything like you describe. I don't doubt you at all though, by hubby had the first year of the 5th Gen 1500, which was a 2019 and I swear it was haunted with issues, flashing dash, stalling,ect.... He got rid of it prior to the one year mark, it was a laramie longhorn. This is my 4th Ram 1500 Laramie since 2008, one was a mega cab, the last three just a crew cab. I'd talk to another dealership about the repair, if they can't resolve, call an attorney.

Thank You yes!!! I want the full refund - I paid a down payment and my first months payment and haven't really dirven it - 4 weeks later still sitting at the dealership with no time frame when the part can be ordered - I have no truck I paid for and they want me to contonue to make the same monthly payment @RamCares and stilantis turned me down twice for help - they will not give me my money back and will not help! No one is helping at all :-( I don't have my truck I paid for - no one else would accept this! I am going to have to get an attorney now - thank you!!!! I appreciate your post reply!
I would be pissed off, too!
Who wouldn't be?
There are actually 4 avenues to solicit help.
And 3 out of 4 will be a problem and frustrate the hell out of you.
1 . Dealer 2 . Stellantis 3 . Lender and
4 . Attorney
It's time to forget the first 3, and move on to an Attorney who handles Lemons

Best of luck to you! Paul
