Make sure the caliper and brackets are tight. Did you check the brake hoses? Hose collapse can cause calipers to lock up. Also check the dust plates on the back of the rotors to make sure they arent touching.

Did the new caliper come with spacer sleeves inside the slide pin boots, or did you reuse the sleeves from the original? That was a hard and expensive lesson I learned once. Nothing like having to replace a brand new rotor with two miles on it.

Try wigggling the wheel in the 6:00-12:00 positions back/fourth violently (with force) using your hands and see if the wheel bearing is bad. There should be NO movement. The caliper mounts to the spindle, which is 'firm' and unmovable, but the rotor mounts to the hub face, which can mis-align if the wheel bearing is really bad ...and can tilt or twist out of alignment due to excessive bearing wear. And the edge of the rotor can scrape against the brake dust shield (makes a lovely 'screeching' noise). Therefore a severely worn hub can definitely cause brake binding and grinding noises that you are experiencing. If there is wheel movement then replace the wheel bearing/hub assembly. What yr is your tk ..2wd/4x4 ?

Let us know what it turns out to be

It’s been a while since I did my ram brakes , I can’t remember if inner and outer pads are different?
Mismatched will definitely cause a problem ,but I’m pretty sure when you get your wheels off the reason will be obvious.

When doing brake jobs on vehicles I'm not familiar with, I remove both wheels (either front or rear) and do one side at a time. This way I have a working example should I get stumped. Or, take photos before dissassembly.
