Which transmission/gears do each truck have? Is his truck a crew cab? How loaded is yours compared to his?

Well, if they truly are identical it could be the 14" magnaflow exhaust. Since that is your only mod you'll have a loss in low end torque from less back pressure on the engine from the free flowing muffler.

Is that the inside of the Y-Pipe? The y-pipe is not a mod for performance by itself, but rather a compliment mod to all other mods you do. It gets rid of the restricting y pipe that is crunched together and allows the engine to breath better when an intake, exhaust, and tune are all on the truck. Making those mods work better.

Thanks Very Much I Already Bought It Just Never Installed Yet
Plan In The Next Few Days To Pick Up That Intake You Told Me About
And Thinking About A Cat Back Still Not Sure What 1
And Also A Hand Held Tuner Or I Might Just Do A Dyno Tune

Why get a cat back when you already have a new muffler? That'll do just fine. And whether or not you do a custom "dyno" tune you'll need a hand held tuner to hold to tune. Although I do not know if BullyDog can have custom tunes loaded on it like the Trinity can. And the Trinity is not yet released for '13 Rams to the best of my knowledge.

cat back systems are a waste of ur money..just the muffler is fine, but the muffler isn't going to add much if any power, if you really want to make a difference in power look at a vararam CAI and throttle body combo, long tube headers (if you have the money, they are around 1500 bucks), and idk if their is a torque converter or valve body for the 13s yet but if you talk to one of the vendors on here, matt from moes, or someone from discount auto, both are great companies to deal with and the cheapest prices your going to find

Should have just gotten the RCSB :shakehead:
In all seriousness it can get pretty spendy to mod these trucks. Right now for the 13's it looks like tuner and CAI will net best gains. There will be mods down the road but it'll be some time for them to pop up. Oh wait you have a 2wd right. Doing gears would be a great way to get low end on him. Plus you only have to do one axle. 4.10 gears all the way. Good luck and have fun.

These transmissions aren't made to race, definitely get Moe's TQ converter upgrade and the Sheridan valve body (Don't know first hand but have been researching a lot lately and this is huge) , the best thing you can do is get those gears out and consider a 4.56 is getting off the line is important to you. Tuner is always good idea, throttle body upgrade too. All of these will get more then your muffler upgrade by a lot. You can increase HP all you want but if you don't get it in the tires you aren't doing much, gears and tranny updates are huge.
