Dorito dash question

Have seen a couple of posts where some owners have had success getting compensation for deteriorated dashes from Dodge.
Anyone have any success stories? I am the original owner of a 2001 Ram 1500 5.9L.
Top of dash is gone. Currently using a dash mat.

My dash is cracked as well and I've seen dash kits on ebay/amazon but it sounds like a huge project for something you would never know *** there because if the dash mat. So I just ended up buying a nice dash mat and called it a day lol

I had a 2000 cracked at 66k Chrysler did nothing put a glue on hard plastic cap on it never had a problem after that

Speak with your local dealer about the issue. Mention the fact that you are the original owner and that you believe the dash poses a safety hazard to your occupants in the event of an accident. My uncle is the original owner of his truck and the local dealership agreed to replace his for free when he did this.
