Covers

Had mine on for a little over six months and have never swiped them off!
Still look new! 5 min. install took longer to take the tires off. Turned out pretty sweet! expensive!!:mad3:IMG_1598.JPG

They look great! Subtle and clean! Is there any way to install them without taking the wheels off, lol??

Maybe! Anything is possible.. A lot easier taking the wheels off i had to tweak them a little so they were straight and didn't rub on the rotors.

They look great! I'm super jealous lol. But is it just the pic or is the front one scuffed on the DR?

No, you are right. It's only noticeable in a certain light, but the black paint looks like it might have been a little wet when it was put in the bag... :(

Not to mention they did not make the letters flat black, they are a gloss black.

Ahh gotcha. Well you'd never notice that behind the wheels anyway right!

Well, I just sent them an email... :mad3:

It hit me, I paid $319 for these ******* pieces of metal that are worth about $15 and at least the finish better be perfect! :roflsquared:

Yeah, very disappointed.

I just installed them and they went on very easy even without taking the wheels off... but that is were the good news ends.

Here is my honest review, and I rarely feel so negatively toward a product:
They are **** poor quality, mediocre design, lots of flaws in the finish, very thin/weak metal, and extremely overpriced for what you get. I would value these things at $99 with standard logos and $149 for custom. Not a dollar more.
They even have some jagged edges were you could cut your finger.

Now if the quality was great on them, which I expected it to be, I would have been very happy with the $319 despite the mistakes. Maybe they were drunk or something when they made mine and all the others are made well, I don't know...

I might just pull these things off and send them to 3gCustomz so they can use them to build some quality ones and maybe even take a little business from MGP. :superhack::buffer:

Last but not least, I am gonna demand $100 returned to my card for the mistakes and the flaws. If they don't do it, I am gonna take them off and send them back and charge back my credit card for the full amount. :Sumo:

I'll get some tomorrow. It was dark when I installed them and I was definitely not excited about them... Lol

Have you taken yours out of the box and inspected them yet?

Yeah I looked at them tonight, not my first set btw as I ran them for close to 2 years on my Durango R/T. The product is definitely not without it flaws but overall pretty cool. I just think going with your custom design at that price you were expecting them to be more than they are.

Btw, I realize these are only supposed to be cosmetic covers that will just get dirty... But they could have made them a little better considering the price. I compare them to Billet Tech products that are also just cosmetic covers, but they are completely over engineered and amazing quality just for a stupid radiator cap. Not to mention the finish is flawless on BT stuff and they are not more expensive than these MGP covers if you wanna figure $$$ per square inch...

You probably have a point there... Those who know me, know that I am not afraid to spend money on the better stuff, but this one didn't work out.

On a positive note, they do look really cool on the truck!!! If I can just forget how they ****** up the finish and how the quality sucks, maybe I'll really enjoy them, lol! :favorites13:

I don't blame ya. When I 1st saw that scuff I was like "oh hell no!".....then I remembered what you paid for them and then I said something like "oh no ******* way!". I would demand something comped back to you or make them send you a new set without the mistakes. I do think they are waaaaaay overpriced which is why I don't have a set yet.
