Try backing a 32' enclosed trailer up a 1000' cement pathway with less than 12 inches of clearance on either side. It rained heavily and had to keep it out of the mud.I am not sure if you have ever backed up an enclosed snowmobile trailer into a tight spot without tow mirrors but being able to look back out the door makes life a lot easier.
Your not going to convince me opening the door is better. It boils down what one has been taught or got accustomed to. People don't want to hear they've been doing it wrong when they've "been doing it this way for xx years".
