myself and AF_Hemi were talking about that stuff a while back. he wanted to do his badges with it. i think he may have tried it out possibly. might shoot him a pm, or wait till he chimes in.

I tried it and didn't like it...guaranteed I didn't take to much time with it...But I don't think it deserves anymore...I did the ahead from the tailgate of my 06 and all the high points stayed Chrome like it ran off...I did about 4 light coats...Either way the dark part looked ok..But in sunlight it almost looks purple...It's cheap enough to give it a shot...But I won't be using it for my original plans trays for sure

That's what I have in mind is to do my 08's rims. I like the NightRunner look. Been waiting for the weather to warm back up to give it a shot. From a comment I saw posted the guy gave his bumpers six coats.

if they are chrome already you may try vht night shades. i did the emblems on my 08 with 2 coats and the 3 coats of clear and it lasted until i got rid of the truck. wheels maybe too big of a project for the vht though

That looks good. I have the plastic clad wheels, and this is suppose to work.. Haha I have heard that before.... we will see.

To use the duplicolor it needs to be Chrome already...It's just a clear black that covers the Chrome...Not a Chrome effect with the paint...Whatever you cover with the duplicolor it will look just like it did before painting but darker obviously

Like I've said I'm looking for a Nightrunner appearance, but I guess if it is a fail, I'll be just another truck with black wheels "shudder"....

And I'll state now that won't last long lol.. I question myself, why did I sell my sweet 18" Durango wheels, oh hindsight is 20/20.
