how would i be able to unlock the dvd to play other than in park?

There is a product called 'Lockpick' that can be installed to make the DVD, Nav & backup camera available at all times. Been thinking about getting one myself...

Nothing else that I have found so far other than replacing with an aftermarket radio but that will be much more than $300

check eBay, I found a couple that were under $250 shipped.
