2026 1500 Laramie. I have set the "Auto Unlock on Exit" in UConnect which I assume this would work when you put the vehicle in Park. However, it doesn’t seem to do anything no matter whether its on or off.

Anyone else with this issue?

Okay... will double check it. Kind'of sucks... standard is normally when you put a vehicle in Park unlocks the doors. Seems like they could provide that option.

Thanks for your response!

Some people may not want all the doors to unlock…ie a mom grocery shopping alone at night with her kid in the backseat.

Mine only unlocks all doors when drivers door is opened, it’s a 15’ Express so might be different with newer trucks or higher trim levels.
Any door can be unlocked from inside, don’t have to hit unlock to let someone out from the backseat, I wouldn’t want the doors to unlock until I was ready to get out.
I might be overly cautious, have always had a better safe than sorry perspective, don’t see any benefit of the doors unlocking when putting the truck in park.

I have mine set to ONLY unlock Drivers Door, which happens when I open door anyway. I would NOT want other doors unlocking when I exit vehicle. Especially in places where a lot of theft occurs, like at gas stations, where the theft technique known as "Sliding" occurs. Of course, I have autolock engaged where once U hit like 15 mph all lock. Just something to think about. And yes, this is a real thing, just as common as CC tractions being stolen with CC readers and such.

Standard? I have never been in any vehicle that just unlocks the doors when you put it in park.

IIRC, my '07 Tundra unlocked after moving the transmission to park.

I prefer how the Ram functions. Leave them locked until a passenger or I open the door.

.
I agree. I got used to that and it worked well for me over the years. I have recently switched them to not lock at all unless i press the lock button. Now i like that even better. I got sick of the kids knocking on the windows or about ripping my door handle off when pick them up from practices lol. I dont live in an area where i lock my doors at all, so i sure as heck dont need them to lock when i start driving haaa.
