I'm kinda curious about the exhaust e-cutout. I don't go to the strip but do offroad a little but mostly street driving and racing lol. Is it worth buying as a performance mod? I am aware that it will be extremely loud. I have a set of ceramic jba headers waiting to be installed and i have a magnaflow y-pipe installed along with a 40 series flowmaster si/do. Opinions, concerns, comments, or experience appreciated.

i recently did a longtube header install and i installed the e-cutout after the y-pipe. with it open, yes it's extremely loud, but sounds very mean. i like the ability to open and close it with a push of the button. most of the time i like it quiet, but every once in a while i open it up to annoy the neighbors lol. as far as it being a performance mod, i couldn't really say as i didn't do a comparison of before/after e-cutout. however i do know that some of the fast guys on here do have one and run it after their 'y'

I wouldn't do the cutout expecting to see any real performance gains because you really won't. I just love the sound. Mine is open 90% of the time.
