So I just purchased a 2016 1500 V8 CREW CAB. The same week I bought it the fuel pump went out dealership replaced it, the night I get home from the dealer repair I get a check engine light and 3 messages message 1- Fuel cap problem I replaced the fuel cap with a duralast from AutoZone message still on its been weeks since I changed it...MESSAGE 2&3 left blinker out right blinker out funny thing is blinkers in front and rear are fine. check engine light is something to do with the fuel system

if you guys can give me an idea of what this might be I'm thinking computer issue I have warranty so hopefully its a simple fix

Blinker lights are bcm not ecm, if it has aftermarket tail lights or bulbs you'll get this code LEDs do gnat sometimes. The gas cap is a small evap leak probly a purge solenoid or gas cap isn't sealing properly clean where it seals very well and try that. I the lights have nothing to do with fuel pump just coincidence. The gas cap may Be a vent line loose or something dealership should be able to find that easily.

The gas cap light doesn’t mean it’s a gas cap issue. What it actually means is there is a evap leak equivalent to the gas cap not being installed. They honestly should get rid of the gas cap warning, it just complicates things.

So basically you have a evap leak, need to find the leak, if there are no leaks it’s likely a ESIM issue.
