ECM plate info

I found a small blurb on EFIlive's forums, but it doesn't do a great job of explaining how to read these plates.

Anyone have a good explanation about how to break these things down into something more understandable? I'm attempting to get a stock file for my particular ECM just in case the worst were to happen since I like to fiddle around with stuff.

I just got some more tunes from Dirty Diesel and I'm about to travel up to KY to Jacob Benton to get one of his transmissions installed next week. Just doing some ground work for my own knowledgebase. I'm sure there are others out there who've had the same questions.

Here my guess: C/M Control module, P/N Part number, S/N Serial number, D/C Date code, ESN Engine serial number, E/C 2350b not sure so did a search -= 6.7l Cummins Diesel Control Module ECU ECM 4358811 Cm2350b / aka PCM/ECU
