Eco mode

I have a 2014 with 5.7 and 8 speed. Is there some sort of fuel economy mode to put on? The reason I ask is I put it in four well drive for a few minuntes now my average fuel economy has gone down. When I put it in 4 wheel drive a light said eco mode disabled or something like that.Thanks in advance for your help. I looked in the owners manual it doesnt mention it.

The ECO light will illuminate when your are driving the car economically. When in 4wd under heav-ier throttle it probably won't come on.

eco mode comes on when the engine is under light load with little throttle. my truck is like yours and it comes on in 2wd and 4wd. I've never seen it say it was disabled. i know it won't come on if u select a gear manually with the +/- buttons

I know there is a setting on the 8.4 to disable the eco light. I turned my Eco light off, it drove me nuts.

Ive never seen a eco light disabled on the cluster though. The OP said something showed disabled on the cluster when he put it on 4 wheel drive, could have been ESC disabled. The cluster will say that when you put it in 4 low. It will also say that in 4 high if you press and hold the traction control button for a bit.

I bet it was the ESC disabled warning he saw.
