Do you the members think these are viable upgrades for the money I have a 2018 power wagon I was thinking of doing the dryer filter AFE 57-72104 cold air Intake, and the pulsar ecu upgrade.. i’m not sure if the ECU upgrade can calibrate what does speedometer ignition advance yes I wish it could you do a shift points to

What are you trying to improve? A CAI can have some benefits but installed by itself is really just looks. A CAI with a increased CFM over the stock air box/line is limited to the flow diameter of the intake at the throttle body. Then again limited at the stock exhaust set up flow rate.

The best way to take advantage of the CAI is make sure the CFM is greater than stock at the intake to engine and free up the exhaust flow from the cat back. Now you can introduce a performance tuner to improve mpg or Hp.

I have done CAI alone and got no performance changes. An ECU data monitoring/display is good but it is not the same as an ECU that can replace the stock tune with a custom tune. Hope this helps with your decision.

The factory air box is not a bad design, a cold air system as cool as it looks offers no real advantage other then the cool intake sound, but for myself , I’d rather have a stock air box assembly, as it offers a little more protection off-roading , then a open element, in addition water will not get sucked up into the engine , on deep puddles or crossing water, as we have had customers tow their vehicles in hydro locked with cold air. But at the end of the day , your money , your truck.

If your supercharging I wouldn’t do either and put it towards the SC cost.

By installing a SC you will need to retune ecu etc, the cold air will be useless if you are boosting.

pro-charger has a kit for 6.4l Hemi engine. But you will need to confirm that it fits power wagons. I believe they do. From what I’ve read you can safely add 6psi boost on the 6.4l Hemi. With that amount of boost you will hit 575hp range.

I will be supercharging my rig when it’s available. I purchased a 2021 75th anniversary edition. So will be a few few years to get tuning/unit ready to roll.

always use common sense when choosing a cai compare them all look at the tube and how air travels inside.. you always want the shortest distance of air travel from filter to TB with the least amount of bends to avoid air turbulence inside the pipe..

I was looking into supercharging my 18 , the only choice was a Procharger they are a awesome set up , but for me I wanted a roots or twin screw such as a Kenne-Bell , Magnacharger or a Whipple for the low to midrange torque for off-roading where the Centrifugal supercharger is more linear , where the roots or twin screw ramp up faster, in the Offroad world I’d rather have torque then horsepower. And peak horsepower is not where these vehicles live. So when looking at numbers , ask for the Dyno graphs.
